- survey mode -- using the laser pointer used to take measurements which can be later retrieved via usb, or read on screen. Store 700 measurements. Measurements are accurate to the degree.

- internal 250mah battery -- recharged via usb providing at least 10 hours of runtime when new. There is space in the box to fit a much larger battery if desired.
